Speaking

[tfg_social_share]

I hate boring speeches with dull Powerpoint slides. I’m betting your audience does, too. That’s why 90% of my slides have no words. They’re designed to make your audience smile and think, because studies (that I just made up, though I’m sure that such studies do, in fact, exist) show that individuals learn better when they’re actively engaged in the process.

My early career was in academia, so I’ve spent more than my fair share of hours in boring seminars and classes. But more importantly, in my first few days of teaching, I learned how to engage undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff in some of the most tedious topics and keep them entertained.

What You Can Expect

  • An engaging, lively, well-prepared presentation that’s personalized to your audience, that will keep them entertained, engaged, and learning (presented by a speaker who will indeed be wearing designer blue jeans!)
  • Q&A with your audience following the presentation (if time and space allow).
  • Swift, friendly, and professional responses to your e-mails and phone calls.
  • A one-on-one phone consultation with me so that I can understand how I can best serve you and your audience.
  • Active promotion of your event on my blog, in my weekly e-mail newsletter, and in my social media channels (assuming your event is public and you want the promotion)
  • I’ll be actively engaged with your audience before, during, and after the event both in-person and online, as time and space allow.
  • A breakout session following the presentation for your management/leadership team or sales force added, for a nominal fee, as time and space allow.
  • A post-event follow-up consultation by phone to ensure that your expectations and those of your audience have been met.

About Me

Susan Baroncini-MoeI’ve been a teacher for more than twenty years and have been speaking publicly all my life. I’ve shared the stage with business and marketing giants like Michael E. Gerber, Larry Winget, Bob Burg, David Meerman Scott, Chris Brogan, and Scott Stratten.

In my career, I’ve worked in academia, in the corporate world, and in small business and have a unique take on how businesses can run best. I have a Master’s degree in social psychology, I’m a certified practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming, I was trained by Nightingale-Conant, and I can twirl a pizza in the air.

My speaking style is entertaining, engaging, lively, fun, dynamic, serious, touching, and personal. I draw on my experience in my life and in my business to make the material come alive for the audience (Heck, I’ve even used the story of how my husband proposed to explain the importance of differentiation in branding…but if you want to hear the story, you’ll have to bring me to your event.)

For the past fifteen years, as a business consultant and founder of Business in Blue Jeans, I’ve led business owners to create mega-success, on their own terms, in their own, unique style.

I’ve worked with clients on four continents, in many different industries, ranging from accountants to life coaches who help senior citizens feel sexy, from voice teachers to watch importers in the Middle East. I’ve served clients who work online and offline, in print media and digital media, who are just starting up and who have been in business for decades. I’ve even organized and hosted a record breaking 36-hour marathon webcast!

I have an active blog, send a weekly e-mail newsletter, and have an active social media presence. I’m currently working on the Business in Blue Jeans book, due out in Spring, 2013.

I’ve been married for four years to an Uruguayan rock star (with the platinum albums to prove it) and have two stepchildren, four hamsters, four cats, and a small flock of hens. We live in Indianapolis, and while the month of May brings the sounds of the Indy 500 all the way to my house, I’ve only seen the race once in my life.

Testimonials

“Susan Baroncini-Moe was outstanding when she spoke at our July 2009 Indiana Small Business Fair. The event was focused on individuals starting or operating a small business. Her presentation on the “Top 5 ways to Optimize Your Business and Increase Profitability” was directly what the target audience needed to hear and extremely impactful. The crowd was engaged, taking notes and asking questions. By far one of the best presenters and presentations of the event! ”

–Johnnie Fiari, CASN, Indiana Small Business Fair

We invited Susan to our business meeting network for her to do a presentation on business consulting.  All our members were so impressed with her presentation that we all signed up for an appointment with her.  Susan is very engaging, lively, and extremely informative.”

- Claire Ty, Attorney-at-Law, Fishers Roundtable Networking Group

“As a professional communicator, the thing that I LOVE the best about Susan is that she is as genuine as her denim attitude. Her methods, like blue jeans, are sturdy and stable, yet comfortable and form-fitting to flatter every situation where any business owner might need assistance. She’s warm, very flexible in her assessments, and is “designer diva business owner” all the way.

When we think of success, we think of growth. And when we think of growth, we think “sky is the limit” with people like Susan, as a person who cares truly about offering the best to those who stretch to be more than average.”

The Seven Core Traits of Mega-Successful Businesses: Successful businesses derive their consistent, continued, long-term growth from focusing on specific business essentials that have stood the test of time. In this presentation, I cover the seven core fundamentals that successful businesses possess. I’ll show you the pitfalls of mastering just one trait and the magic of conquering all seven, and provide clear, specific, actionable steps. Whatever the size of your business, whether you’re startup or well into growth, this presentation will show you precisely where your attention needs to be to grow your business into a (more) successful, profitable enterprise.

And don’t worry- this is only about bringing in the philosophy of “Blue Jeans,” so you can still wear your suits and ties!
